Who Are We?

Hi! My name is Chris and a long time ago, I was in the corporate world. And it was fine. But one day, I took a weaving class and my vision shifted. I remember saying, “I could do this all day long!”. So, I quit the corporate gig and moved in with family to pursue the goal of becoming a full-time weaver, weaving all day long. That was in 2008.

Since then, I have shared my passion with thousands of people through over a decade of weaving demonstrations. I have taught folks the easy, simple way to dress a loom and weave a project.

My company, Acton Creative, has evolved quite a bit since its start in ‘08. Originally, the goal was to create handwoven handbags in a variety of sizes. Then, we expanded into homegoods – towels, runners, and pillows. The most current iteration of Acton Creative includes an educational component, lending guidance and encouragement to beginning weavers everywhere.

Additional Information

Under ideal circumstances (with no virus interrupting our plans), I would have taught this class in April, in person at the Three Moons Fiberworks weaving studio in Chesterton, Indiana. As a way to support my local business and encourage its wonderful mission, $5 from each purchase of the workshop will be earmarked for Three Moons Fiberworks. I am excited to continue working with Rebecca and Three Moons Fiberworks in the future! Check them out at https://www.threemoonsfiberworks.com/
