Students, today in class, we’ll be learning about managing 2 wefts. Ready to dive in?
After you’ve tried a few weaving projects, it’s a fun step up to tackle the challenge of working with 2 shuttles. You can play with different colors, fibers, and yarn sizes to change the entire look of your fabric with a few minor tweaks.
So in episode 125, I am stepping into your shoes to show you what to look for when managing 2 wefts. Enjoy!
Show Notes –
Sweet Georgia video – I found a lovely video from Sweet Georgia Yarns all about working with 2 shuttles. And I have to say, she does this very cool thing with her hand wrapping around the yarn that I love! It’s very slick! Check it out to see another idea on managing 2 wefts.
Weaving Towels – Once you decide you’re ready to take on 2 shuttles at one time, why not weave some towels? They’re a classic for a reason and they will give you lots of wiggle room when playing with 2 wefts. Here’s a little bit of inspiration to get you started!
