Today, we’re discussing the process of modifying a weaving project. You see, sometimes a pattern isn’t quite the size you need. Therefore, some modifications and tweaks are necessary.

Sewing handwoven fabric – While I am not a sew-er of handwoven fabric, or a weaver of wearables, I can appreciate the unique requirements that go hand-in-hand with weaving & sewing handwoven fabric for garments. And one of the reasons you may be modifying a weaving project is to be sure your fabric is right for a wearable item. How many heddles? – If you find yourself expanding your weaving project, don’t forget to account for an additional number of heddles. Those pesky little dudes are wonderful when you have enough on each shaft, and very annoying when you have to add them mid-project.
