Today, let’s tackle the idea of becoming a better weaver when you’re not weaving. Sounds strange, doesn’t it? But as it turns out, there is a multitude of ways to improve yourself as a weaver even when you don’t have a shuttle in your hand.

Thus, I present to you episode 181 of A Handwoven Experience where I’ll be sharing my ideas on things to watch for and do when you’re out in the world (aka not sitting at your loom) in order to improve your ability and excitement as a weaver.

Show Notes –

Finding inspiration – Tom Knisely wrote a great article for Handwoven magazine all about finding ideas in everyday life. He wrote it during COVID, which of course was quite the departure from “everyday” life. But, somehow that time made everything a little more intense, didn’t it? Tom does a great job of holding your hand as he walks through his process of getting inspired by his surroundings. Wanna take a walk with him? It’ll absolutely be worth it!
